STARHAUS Open Call #OIC2 | Arts and Technology Residencies is currently open for applications.
Collaborate with leading technology partners to drive innovation in industry-specific solutions
Open Call for innovation: Co-create scalable, user-focused innovations for key industries
The 2nd Open Call is now open, inviting researchers, innovators, artists, and industry professionals to collaborate with our technology partners. Together, we aim to redefine service and process concepts, tailoring advanced hardware and software to four targeted use-cases: pet food, fertilizers, beverages, and breakfast cereals. This is your opportunity to directly contribute to raising the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of innovative solutions while addressing real-world needs. The new concepts will serve as the foundation for developing hardware and software prototypes that align with the user-centred design (UCD) approach, ensuring solutions are intuitive, adaptable, and resonate with target communities. You are encouraged to look beyond current project constraints and envision future and scalable solutions that push technological boundaries.
Activities funded in the 2nd Open Call:
- Co-design and concept development: Engage in a collaborative process with technology partners, leveraging an artistic perspective to contribute creatively to the development of concepts that blend art and technology. This phase will focus on defining scenarios and solutions aligned with the four use-cases, bringing innovative, user-centred approaches to the forefront.
- Prototype development: Based on the co-developed concepts, transform your ideas into tangible hardware or software prototypes. This phase aims to bring the concepts to life, ensuring they are technically feasible and ready for testing.
- Testing: Validate your prototypes in real-life scenarios, gathering feedback from representative communities through demonstrations or interactive engagements. This step ensures that the solutions are relevant, adaptable, and appealing to the target communities.
