🌟 STARHAUS at M18: A Milestone Towards a More Beautiful, Sustainable and Inclusive Future for Local Manufacturing
Last week, our incredible STARHAUS consortium came together for an inspiring two-day event to mark the M18 Review Meeting — a key milestone in our journey to transform local manufacturing through the lens of the New European Bauhaus: sustainability, inclusion, and beauty.
Over the past 18 months, STARHAUS has grown from a bold vision into a thriving ecosystem of innovation and collaboration. The M18 gathering gave us the chance to reflect on our collective progress, align on future priorities, and celebrate the extraordinary work achieved across our pilot sectors and community projects.

We’re proud to report successful developments in all three of our pilot sectors:
– Food systems
– Fertilizer innovation
– Circular production models

2. Ecosystem Expansion Through Open Calls
Through our Open Calls, we received over 67 high-quality proposals, with 6 new projects now integrated into the STARHAUS ecosystem. These additions bring fresh energy, ideas, and expertise, helping us to broaden our impact across Europe.
3. Leveraging Digital Tools for Green Impact
From Digital Twins to Lifecycle Assessments, advanced tools are guiding our approach to resource use, carbon impact, and circularity — making sustainability measurable and actionable.
4. Putting Communities at the Core
Our community-centered design approach remains a cornerstone of the STARHAUS method. Whether in urban or rural settings, the voices of citizens and local actors shape our solutions, ensuring that innovation is rooted in real needs.
